Systems consist of components from different disciplines such as hardware, software and mechanics. Progress is enabling ever more complex systems, the market is demanding ever faster development times and globalization is leading to internationally distributed development teams. Systems engineering with its holistic, cross-disciplinary approach and, in particular, model-based systems engineering (MBSE) is of outstanding importance in this environment.
The pragmatic modeling methodology SYSMOD describes the path from the system idea via the requirements to the system analysis and system architecture. The results are recorded in a SysML model.
